The Flash introduces all new Supergirl star as DC replacement

With James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC plan, Henry Cavill no Superman future more. Even the films that will be released in 2023 from the “old” DC universe will almost certainly not feature Cavill.

This also includes The Flash, for which the first long trailer has now been released. In the upcoming blockbuster we get an actress as all new Supergirl version to see. From the trailer, she appears to be a replacement for Cavill in the Flashpoint comic template’s Superman storyline.

With the previous Supergirl character from the series of the same name, played by Melissa Benoist for 6 seasons, this version of the DC character has nothing to do with it. Rather, according to Comic Book, the first The Flash trailer hints that Calle’s version of the superheroine will appear in the Flashpoint storyline of Superman from the comic.

In the template, the DC hero captured by the US military and kept hidden in a bunker as “Project Superman”. The first Supergirl scenes from The Flash trailer already show brief moments of Calle’s Supergirl captivity.

Action interludes featuring her character also prove that her role in The Flash alongside other characters like the various Barry Allens and Bruce Waynes will probably be important.
