The Finals wants to get even better and specifically combat the game’s biggest problem

The Finals is currently on everyone’s lips, but if you’ve already completed a few rounds, you may have already met a cheater. The developers of The Finals have now commented on the anti-cheat.

What is the game’s biggest problem? The biggest problem with The Finals right now is the cheaters who are ruining the game for you. Many shooters have players who use cheats like aimbots or wallhacks to gain an advantage, and The Finals is no exception.

There are now a number of threads on Reddit reporting on cheaters. On Discord, however, there are also a lot of opinions from players who have never seen a cheater.

This is also due to Skill-Based Match-Making (SBMM), which ensures in the finals that players compete against and with players with adequate skills. So if you’re a beginner in the Finals, or just playing for fun with friends, you’ll encounter cheaters less often than the top players at the top of the leaderboard.

Bug prevented efficient banning of cheaters

Why are there so many cheaters right now? There are two reasons why there are currently so many cheaters:

  • Cheaters were inefficiently banned due to a technical issue
  • The anti-cheat measures are not sufficient
  • The developers of The Finals are aware of where the problems lie.

Has the technical problem already been identified? Yes, the problem has already been identified. In an announcement on Discord, the developers of The Finals announced that a technical issue that prevented efficient banning was currently being fixed. However, Embark added that the team was getting closer to solving the problem.

Developers are improving anti-cheat and want to ban even faster

How does the developer intervene now? A new patch arrived today that brings significantly improved anti-cheat measures to The Finals. This should make cheating more difficult and players experience fewer matches against cheaters.

However, it is not yet known whether the cheaters will be banned more quickly with today’s patch.
