The European Commission has carried out an investigation into whether the new environmental zone in Stockholm, which will be introduced on 31 December, is legal.

The environmental zone covers 20 blocks in the area between Kungsgatan, Sveavägen, Birger Jarlsgatan and Hamngatan.

– This means that the introduction of the environmental zone continues as planned. On the night of New Year’s Eve 2024, Stockholm will be the first in the world to port petrol and diesel cars from part of the City.
