The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences stated that three scientists were awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in chemistry for their work on the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots and said, “These small particles have unique properties and now emit their light from television screens and LED lamps. “They catalyze chemical reactions and their clear light can illuminate tumor tissue for a surgeon.” (DHA)
