Thats how you get the money to last you during

Sweden is, as you know, in a downturn. The krona is weakening, and inflation has caused the prices of food and necessities to rise. Fewer make the everyday economy collapse and more become unemployed.

In a press release from Länsförsäkringar describes Trifa Chireh, pension economist at Länsförsäkringar how the unemployed can better manage their situation. Temporary unemployment also has major consequences for the pension.

– If you lose your job for a couple of years, it means thousands less in pension per month, says Trifa Chireh in the press release.

Firstly, it is important to join the A fund, and this is advice anyone can follow who is not already a member. After working and being a member of A-kassan for one year, you can be granted compensation during unemployment.

Compensation of 70-80 percent of your previous salary

Secondly, Chireh highlights that you should take out income insurance. Together with the A fund, this can mean that you receive 70 – 80 percent of your previous salary during unemployment. With adjustment organizations such as the Norwegian Security Council or Omställningfonden, the unemployed can also take part in training and compensation.

Chireh also recommends New Start jobs at the Employment Agency, especially for those over 55. Through Försäkringskassan, you can find out if you are entitled to housing allowance.
