Teemu Pukki did his best in Norwich but the relegation

The Huuhkaja players’ season continues with an unusually tight League of Nations crunch. Teemu Pukki expects head coach Markku Kanerva to recycle his line-up in matches.

Finland will play its first game of the League of Nations on June 4 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium against Bosnia and Herzegovina. shows the Owners matches live.

Forward of the Finnish men’s national football team Teemu Pukki admits that the ending series in Norwich was one of the heaviest of his career. Pukki, who played in his fourth season in Norwich, bounced nicely for goals in the Premier League, but the fall of the team that became the league champion was confirmed already on May Day.

– It was a difficult season for the team. This has certainly been one of the most difficult periods of his career, with so many games and losses. A difficult season, both mentally and physically, resting for a week, Pukki chewed at the national team’s press conference in Helsinki.

Pukki, who has become one of Norwich’s all-time scorers, said he would return to the club next season. Norwich exercised the option in the Finnish agreement in April.

– I’m going there for the preseason. That is the situation, Pukki said briefly.

Norwich has been a midfielder team during the Eagle striker, as the yellow shirts have shone in the Championship Series, but the Premier League level has proven to be far too hard for the club twice. According to Pukki, the role in the “elevator team” is also heavy for the player.

– It’s not easy for the player. When it comes to winning, football is fun and enjoyable, but when it doesn’t, it’s tough. It has big differences in feelings. However, one salt of the game is winning. It’s the feeling of getting three points and getting to celebrate victory in the booth.

Norwich scored a modest 23 goals during the Premier League season, with Pukki finishing or scoring more than half of those. In the top series, the Finnish top reached 11 full hits as in the 2019–20 season, and also scored three goals.

– Before the season the goal was to get at least the same 11 goals. On a personal level, I’m happier this season because last time 11 goals were already full in January, but the rest of the season went awry. As such, you may be happy, but you can’t be a team player when we dropped out of the series.

In the championship series, Pukki has been wild in the seasons 2018–19 and 2020–21. In the first division season, the Eagle rotten 29 full hits, in the latter three goals less.

“Let’s see how your feet feel”

The season for Pukki and the other Huuhkaja players will continue in early June with a tight streak of as many as four League of Nations matches. The owls start the Division B block by encountering Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro at their home ground. Matches continue with away games in Romania and Bosnia.

Pukki, the all-time goal scorer and a one-time A-breaker, is waiting for head coach Markku Kanervan recyclable matches in their lineup.

– There is a really close pace and there will definitely be recycling, because everyone (players) has long periods behind them. Let’s see how the feet feel and what decisions “Rive” (Kanerva) makes, Pukki summed up.

The contribution of the League of Nations is tough, and there are only two matches left in the fall. The winners of the blocks will advance to the European Championship playoff playoffs if the seat to the 2024 tournament has not yet left the actual qualifiers.
