Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be “twice as big” as the first part

The sequel to Steam hit Kingdom Come: Deliverance is said to have even more dialogue than the first part, be twice as big and more diverse. MeinMMO tells you the information.

How is the game going? Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently in development. Warhorse Studios introduced the role-playing game sequel in April 2024 with a trailer that came way too soon. The development team promises that the next game, due out even later in 2024, will be much bigger this time – twice as big and more diverse than the original.

There are tons of dialogues in the first part of the role-playing game, but the sequel goes one step further. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the main character already has over 500 hours of dialogue.

Record-breaking dialogue recordings

How much more dialogue will there be? The voice actor (Luke Dale) behind the main character, Henry (German: Heinrich), recently completed recording the dialogue lines for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – after 508 hours in the studio spread over 127 sessions. That’s a whole three weeks of dialogue.

This is recording material. It is not yet known whether that many hours will actually be used in the end. But it’s definitely a lot of stuff.

New features and more variety

What else awaits us? The developers emphasize that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be what the first part should have been from the beginning. It is assured that the game will introduce many new immersive systems. The developers are aiming for a more reactive world that should react to, reflect and comment on our actions.

The spokesman for Warehorse Studios, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, reveals the following details in an interview with IGN: The map in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be about twice as big as the previous one and offer a variety of options.

This not only means more scenery and longer paths, but also a larger number of quests, random encounters and other content. There will also be new features such as the introduction of crossbows and a blacksmithing mini-game.

The game should also have more variety. “Of course, in a place like this, people can expect a wide range of ethnicities and different characters that Henry will meet on his journey,” Tobias Stolz-Zwilling tells IGN.

We try to present a realistic, immersive and believable medieval world, reconstructed to the best of our knowledge and belief.

Should I have played the previous one? Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. You once again take on the role of Henry (Heinrich) von Skalitz, whose campaign of revenge after the murder of his family causes chaos in the Bohemia of medieval Europe in the 15th century.

The first part dealt with Henry’s rise from a commoner to a knight-squire, while the second part focuses on the actual conflict again.

Although it might be beneficial to have played the first part to better understand the story, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 should also be accessible for newcomers. However, there is no confirmation if there will be a recap for newbies.
