Take these precautions before sleeping in the vehicle poses great

After the effects of the earthquake, many people whose houses were damaged use their vehicles. Vehicle owners who cannot enter their homes on cold winter days prefer to sleep in their cars. However, there are points to be considered while sleeping in the car. Experts shared the precautions to be taken while sleeping in the vehicle.

SET ALARM ON YOUR MOBILE PHONES

prof. Dr. Murat Taner Gülşen said, “To the attention of those who sleep in the vehicle: When the car is running and is kept in an inactive state, carbon monoxide gas leaks into the vehicle even in the open air. This gas is odorless and has a sleep-inducing feature. The people inside the vehicle fall into a deep sleep without realizing it and cannot wake up again. For this reason, if you are going to sleep in the car while the car is running, set your mobile phones to ring every 20 minutes and set an alarm.”

VENTILATE YOUR VEHICLE BY OPENING THE WINDOWS

“Open all the windows to ventilate your vehicle. If possible, get out of the vehicle and stand for a while and make sure that you are fully yourself, then get back in your vehicle.” said.

OPEN THE WINDOW AS NECESSARY

You don’t need to open your car window while you sleep. There is no need for constant air circulation, there is usually enough air inside the car to feed someone for a long time anyway. However, you can choose to open a window to aid circulation, and this should be taken into account if you are not alone in the vehicle and plan to sleep for more than a few hours. However, for personal safety reasons, it’s best to only open the window as often as needed. You don’t want the space to be big enough for another person to access the interior of your car.

WHERE CAN VEHICLES PARK?

You must park your vehicle in safe places. Some of the secure areas might be grocery parking lots and 24-hour gyms. Places such as hotels, hospitals, recreational facilities and campsites can ensure your safety.
