The Rambo series actually came to an end with Rambo: Last Blood. Sylvester Stallone also categorically ruled out a return (via Movieweb). Nevertheless, a new Rambo project is currently being worked on. The star now explains the story, but leaves the biggest question unanswered.
The new Rambo is making progress – but will Sylvester Stallone play along?
He told the Hollywood Reporter:
The new Rambo will come. I actually wanted to do something about Vietnam where Rambo is this open-hearted guy and then evolves into the Rambo, [den wir kennen]. but [die Macher] want to tell the story in the present where I then pass the torch.
So is Stallone coming back as Rambo? The star leaves this question unanswered. Despite all his own resistance, he could be persuaded to make a really last appearance.
