Swedish accession documents were delivered to Washington within the day. Thus, Sweden became the 32nd member of the Alliance.
The Hungarian National Assembly approved Sweden’s participation in NATO on February 26, thus completing the approval process for all allies.
Sweden applied for membership in NATO on May 18, 2022.
