Ice hockey: The small crowns suffered their second loss in the U18 World Cup in ice hockey

The small crowns are chasing a medal in the U18 WC in Finland. The narrow loss against the Czech Republic was the second in the group stage.

The Czech Republic had a goal disallowed in the first period and instead took the lead 1-0 on a power play in the second.

Petr Sikoras sent the puck straight into the roof of the net.

Sweden caught up

The Czech Republic then extended it to 2-0 before Sweden managed to reduce in the final minute of the period through Victor Eklund. Captain Linus Eriksson equalized in the third period. After a goalless extra time, the Czech Republic decided on penalties. Adam Titlbach scored the decisive goal.

Earlier in the championship, Sweden lost 3-6 against Canada and won 7-1 against Kazakhstan. The next match is against Switzerland on Tuesday.
