Skårbyskolan in Kungsbacka is judged not to be approved for the start of school

Skårbyskolan probably won’t pass a final inspection. A requirement to use the premises.

The deficiencies concern, for example, fire safety and ventilation. The administration for Service has therefore made the assessment that the move-in needs to be brought forward. A decision that affects approximately 450 students.

– We currently do not know when the students can move in. The inspection of the school building will take place again in the coming week and after that there will be an announcement, but it will not be until the start of school in August as it looks now, says Maria Eriksson, director of operations for the educational area Centrum.

Where will the students go in August?

– They will be allowed to stay at their old schools in existing premises. Among other things, pavilions that the municipality is already renting until December.

Can the move be during the current semester?

-Absolutely, there are no obstacles to that. We must do this as well as possible for the children, says Maria Eriksson.
