A shooting incident at a local time in the New York underground happened in the morning. Ten people were injured in the shooting, according to the city’s fire department FDNY, the news agency Reuters reports. In total, there are at least 16 injured.
Rescue personnel alerted to the scene by the smoke found the victims lying on the subway pier. According to CBS, one of the wounded has been seriously injured.
According to preliminary information, there would also have been explosives at the site. However, New York City police said no active explosives were found.
