(Finance) – Tertiary sector, organized distribution, cooperative distribution, hotels, public establishments, collective and commercial catering, travel agencies and spa companies: over 5 million workers have been waiting, for too long, for the renewals of national contracts and who could stop, called to mobilize by Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs. The protest was called to ask for the renewal of collective labor agreements for the sector, twelve in total, four in the tertiary sector and the others attributable to catering and tourism, almost all of which expired in 2019.

“The strike is finally behind us and the numbers have shown that there were no conditions for an agitation of this kind. After the holidays we are sure that we will all start again with the aim of being able to achieve the long-awaited contract renewal as soon as possible, aware that the distances that have characterized the recent conflict are not so insurmountable”, said the Vice President of Confcommercio with responsibility for work and bilateralism Donatella Prampolini Manzini on the strike in the tertiary sector today. “We are ready, hoping for greater audacity in our mutual capacity for discussion and that this can be concretely exercised across the board, without prejudice on both sides and therefore with a renewed constructive and productive spirit. The assumption from which we start again – concludes Prampolini – is always the same: that of absolutely not wanting to harm our workers who are and remain the most important resource for the companies we represent”.
