During Wednesday, students at Torvallaskolan in Östersund had to evacuate the premises after rockets and firecrackers went off for the third time during the day.
– We think this has started as a Tiktok challenge, rockets and firecrackers have been fired all week, says principal Carina Hansson to SVT Nyheter Jämtland.
According to her, the school has managed to identify two students as participants who have now been suspended for the week and will be reported to the police. The school has now closed for the day.
– It is very sad to have to make such a decision as closing the school, but I felt that it had to be made for the sake of both the students and the staff.
Whether measures will be taken against more students is still unclear.
