Ryanair ready to invest 3 billion dollars to restart civilian

(Finance) – The CEO of the group Ryanair, Michael O’Learywith Eddie WilsonRyanair DAC CEO, traveled in Kiev to illustrate to the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Oleksandr Kubrakov, the $3 billion plan to rebuild the civil aviation industry once hostilities ended in the country invaded by Russian troops.

Ryanair’s top management has also met with the CEO of Boryspil Airport in KievOleksiy Dubrevskyy, and the executives of other major Ukrainian airports, Lviv and Odessa.

During the visit, they were check the condition of the terminals airports, areas of baggage claim and of check-in and boarding of passengers, checkpoints and aprons, noting the excellent state of the infrastructure airports and their operational readiness to resume flights when it is safe to do so. Ryanair has applauded the efforts made by Boryspil International Airport employees to preserve and keep the airport’s infrastructure operational during the war.

Ryanair plans to deliverin the 12 months following the end of the war, a capacity of 5 million seats on flights to and from Ukraine, capacity destined to double in the space of 5 years.

Ryanair will base up to 30 new aircraft Boeing 737 MAX worth over $3 billion at 3 major Ukrainian airports.
