A fire has broken out at a natural gas terminal in the Russian port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea, the governor of the region says.

The terminal, located 110 kilometers west of St. Petersburg on the Gulf of Finland and close to the Estonian border, is operated by Russian natural gas producer Novatek.

“No one was injured as a result of a fire at Novatek’s terminal in the port of Ust-Luga. Personnel were evacuated,” writes Aleksandr Drozdenko, governor of Leningrad, early Sunday.
