The prime minister’s luxury villa for sale: “The best house in the world”

The prime ministers luxury villa for sale The best house

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and his wife Birgitta Ed have chosen to sell the joint villa in Strängnäs. The couple bought the villa in 2002 and have therefore owned it for 22 years.

A 400 square meter villa

It is a two-story villa built in the 20s with ten rooms and a kitchen. It is 400 square meters in size and located in the heart of Strängnäs. The couple has lived in the house for 22 years and experienced a lot together there. So the decision to sell was not easy to make, says Birgitta Ed.

“But now it’s time to open the next door and then we want someone else to take care of the world’s best house. Is it easy – no? But right now. Strängnäs will always be home and now we are looking for something smaller, which will be Strängnäs base for our whole family,” writes Birgitta in her post on Facebook.

Luxurious details in the house

The house is for sale on the broker’s side Sotheby’s, where you can also see pictures from the inside. It is a large villa with several luxurious details. Among other things, the house has a wine cellar, its own gym and spa area with sauna.

Even the furniture is sumptuous and luxurious. Several designer pieces of furniture can be seen in the agency’s photos. Among other things, the villa has a design table from Fritz Hansen and a PH lamp from Louis Poulsen.

“22 years ago we bought the house in Strängnäs. We have filled it with dinners around the big table, mingling in the garden, valuable conversations and many difficult moments. But above all, we have filled it with everyday life and what is our life,” writes Birgitta in her post on Facebook.
