After the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine held in Istanbul between 28-30 March, Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov made statements.
Reznikov stated that he was very proud to be the guest of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul, where he came for the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
Reznikov said, “I am honored to be the guest of President Erdogan in Istanbul today. During the meeting, I conveyed my gratitude to Ukraine for their political and diplomatic support. I informed the President of the war crimes committed by Russia against the civilian Ukrainian people and the damage to the infrastructure. We also discussed the evacuation of the wounded from Mariupol and the humanitarian aid issues. With my deepest feelings, I am grateful to President Erdogan and all Turkish people for the assistance provided to our state and to our people who had to leave their homeland by saving their lives, and who had to flee the war launched by Russia against Ukraine and come to Turkey.”
