Reading aloud to children is decreasing – hear Södertälje residents: “More exciting with the moving”

According to Marlen Eskander, director of operations for Läslandet in Södertälje, reading is generally decreasing among children and adults. This is something she takes seriously.

– Through digital, children are served everything and only take in sound and images. But by reading aloud, children form images in their heads, she says.

Furthermore, Marlen Eskander believes that it is important for children to be able to use their imagination, which is done, among other things, when reading aloud.
