Putin signed: Life imprisonment for treason in Russia!

With the law signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, published on the Russian State Law Information System, changes were made to the country’s penal code.

Accordingly, those who commit the crime of treason will be sentenced to life in prison for up to 20 years.

In addition, the 15-year prison sentence was increased up to 20 years for those who committed terrorist crimes, as required by law. Those who commit international terrorism crimes can be sentenced to 12 years to life imprisonment.

Those who commit the crime of inciting terrorism can be sentenced to 5 to 7 years in prison, and those who take part in terrorist formations can be sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison. (AA)
