Protests against subway construction in Rålambshovsparken

– It will be a construction site that risks destroying Rålambshovsparken and its greenery, says Måns Tham who is the initiator of the appeal.

The protest group Rädda Rålis believes that Rålambshovsparken is not a suitable place because it would mean that the old trees in the avenue would have to be sawn down in that case.

There are two different proposals

The working tunnel is needed to be able to build track tunnels and stations. In addition to Rålambshovsparken, there is another option at Lindhagensplan and the gas station located there.

According to the project manager for the subway construction between Fridhemsplan and Älvsjö, Johan Brantmark, there are careful assessments of nature, culture and surroundings that are made before assessment and decisions are made.

Notice of relocation is expected next spring. The subway construction will last for approximately eight to ten years.
