Positive European stock markets as the quarterly reporting season gets

(Finance) – The European stock markets are moving positively, including Piazza Affari, as the season of corporate results comes into full swing. Today the focus is on titles technologicalafter the Dutch semiconductor machinery company ASML Holding recorded excellent quarterly orders and the German software giant SAP has announced a restructuring plan for 2024 that will affect 8,000 roles, in a push towards artificial intelligence. The next sector under observation will be luxurygiven that the French conglomerate will release the data tomorrow LVMH.

On the macroeconomic frontthe reading of the provisional data of theJanuary 2024 PMI survey recorded the slowest contraction in six months in eurozone economic activity with reductions persisting in both manufacturing and services sectors due to the decline in new orders.

Slight growth ofEuro / US Dollar, which rises to 1.089. No significant changes forgold, which trades on the day before at 2,032.1 dollars an ounce. Slightly rising session for the petrolium (Light Sweet Crude Oil), which advances to 74.97 dollars per barrel.

Slight decline in spreadwhich drops to +156 basis points, while the yield of the 10-year BTP stands at 3.85%.

Among the European price lists positive trend for Frankfurtwhich advances by a discreet +0.9%, substantially toned Londonwhich records a capital gain of 0.33%, and moderate gain for Pariswhich advances by 0.47%.

Slightly rising seat for Business Squarewith the FTSE MIB, which advances to 30,149 points; along the same lines, little leap forward for the FTSE Italia All-Share, which reaches 32,296 points. In fractional progress the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (+0.41%); on the same trend, just above parity FTSE Italia Star (+0.5%).

Between best performers of Milan, highlighted MPS Bank (+2.69%), Iveco (+1.95%), Nexi (+1.89%) e Hera (+1.67%).

The worst performances, however, are recorded on Telecom Italia, which obtains -1.31%. Basically weak Stellantis, which recorded a decline of 1.07%. It moves below parity Campari, highlighting a decrease of 0.89%. Moderate contraction for STMicroelectronicswhich suffers a drop of 0.52%.

Between best stocks in the FTSE MidCap, Ferretti (+2.09%), Technoprobe (+2.05%), Saint Lawrence (+1.75%) e Alerion Clean Power (+1.57%).

The steepest declines, however, occur at Saras, which continues the session with -2.34%. Undertone BFF Bank which shows a reduction of 1.18%. Disappointing Juventus, which lies just below the levels of the day before. Lame SOLwhich shows a small decrease of 0.94%.
