Hunter’s vehicle stolen

A vehicle belonging to a hunter was stolen from Jenkins Road in Norfolk County on Saturday morning.

Norfolk OPP said the hunter parked the white coloured, 2018, Chevrolet Traverse on the side of the road at about 4 am The vehicle was stolen sometime between 4 am and 8:45 am Police responded at about 9:21 am

Three people facing drug charges

Three people are facing drug charges after police executed a search warrant at a Tillsonburg property on Monday.

Police seized suspected fentanyl, hydromorphone, scales, various drug paraphernalia and property during a search of the property on Jackson Court.

Members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit and OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed the search warrant at a Jackson Court, Tillsonburg address.

A 27-year-old Tillsonburg resident and a 40-year-old Norfolk County resident are charged with possession of a scheduled substance – opioid.

A 40-year-old Tillsonburg resident is facing two counts of trafficking a scheduled substance – opioid.

All three are scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock at a later date.

Man faces theft charge

A break and enter suspect fled the scene after being confronted by a Waterford homeowner early Monday morning.

Norfolk OPP received a 911 call at about a break and enter in progress on West Church Street at about 4:42 am on April 3.

The suspect had fled but was later located near Nichol and Wellington streets by officers patrolling the area.

A 39-year-old Norfolk County man was arrested and later charged with theft under $5,000, failing to comply with a probation order and disobeying a court order.
