Norfolk OPP are investigating a fatal collision in Long Point.

Police and paramedics responded at about 1:14 pm on Wednesday to Erie Boulevard in Long Point.

An 86-year-old Oxford County resident walking along the roadway was struck by a dump truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
Erie Boulevard between Austin Parkway and Beach Avenue is expected to remain closed for the next several hours while West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team members investigate.
The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
