Vinicius Junior managed to score for the third time in a row in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The semi-finals of the Champions League often fall on a bank holiday, and so this year too. The football carnival on May Day saw a performance between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, which gives a good reason to remember great moments in the history of the Champions League in Finnish terms.
Brazilian star of Real Madrid Vinicius Junior finished both of his team’s goals in the 2–2 draw in Munich. This made him the fourth player to score in the Champions League semi-finals three years in a row.
Previously, they were only able to do the same Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne and Jari Litmanen. Litmanen scored twice for Bayern Munich, twice for Panathinaikos and once for Juventus in the Ajax shirt between 1995 and 1997.
