One of the most popular anime of all time finally
Demon Slayer isn’t just a manga or anime series, it’s a bombastic cultural phenomenon. The story about a demon hunter and cruel fantasy creatures inspires with complex characters, a uniquely lively world and bloody sword fights, that make even John Wick fans’ mouths water. Season 3 is finally out after a good year’s break. Fantasy battles with John Wick choreographies: Demon Slayer is a worldwide mega hit

Demon Slayer takes place in Japan at the beginning of the 20th century and revolves around the young Tanjiro (voice: Constantin von Jascheroff), who loses almost his entire family in a cruel demon attack. Only his sister Nezuko (Julia Meynen) survives, but becomes a beast herself due to an infection. Tanjiro is eager to turn Nezuko back and take bloody revenge as a demon hunter.

The anime series, which is also based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, captivates from episode 1 with a rich world in which the next horror creature or an impressive sword master could be around every corner. Thanks to modern animation technology and attention to detail every fight of Tanjiro becomes an immersive experience. For many anime fans, Demon Slayer is an absolute masterpiece.

So maybe it’s no wonder that Demon Slayer has had an impressive run around the world since the manga launched in 2016. According to a report cited by Crunchyroll, franchise sales in 2021 were $8.75 billion (!). That’s about a billion more than the entire Fast & Furious series (via The Numbers). And all within five years.

When and where is Demon Slayer season 3 in Germany?

Crunchyroll will be the third season of Demon Slayer from April 9, 2023 broadcast in the so-called simulcast, so the episodes will be released almost at the same time as the original Japanese release. For the time being, these are Japanese episodes with German subtitles, which appear on a weekly basis on Sundays.
