– There are probably many people who will ride long distances up towards the mountains. Then you can safely keep the winter tires for a while longer, says Nisrin Mazoul who is site manager at a temporarily set up tire workshop in Falun.
According to the Swedish Transport Agency, it is winter road conditions when there is snow, ice, slush or frost on any part of the roads. It is the police who decide whether it is permitted to drive with studded tires and whether there are winter road rules.
– You still hear that people are a little worried about taking off their studded tires as they don’t really know what the weather will be like next week, says Nisrin Mazoul.
