As the HBO streamer Max officially announced Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell slip into the roles of Dunk and Egg, whose adventures George RR Martin recorded in three novellas in the novel series Tales of Dunk and Egg.

Fantasy Casting: Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

About a century before the events of Game of Thrones, House Targaryen sits on the Iron Throne and the memories of the last dragons have not yet faded. In the midst of this tumultuous age, an unlikely duo, Ser Duncan the Tall (Claffey) and Egg (Ansell), roam the Seven Kingdoms: a young, naive but courageous knight and his tiny squire. A potential example of the so-called Badass and child-Trope as known from Lone Wolf & Cub, The Mandalorian or The Last of Us.
