New details about legendary battle in Ridley Scotts upcoming Napoleon
Ridley Scott doesn’t do things by halves, his fans have known that since Gladiator. With his upcoming war film Napoleon, he wants to exceed the dimensions of the historical spectacle many times over. A military adviser to the director now reveals how much he was a detail in the six battles (!) of the film brought sleep. Battle formation in Ridley Scott’s war film had to look absolutely perfect

Scott’s advisor Paul Biddiss told the New Yorker:

I had sleepless nights, because the extras had to form a perfect square in a scene. But they did their job excellently. Ridley shouted over the radio, “Buy each of the boys a beer!”
