Two representatives of the neo-Nazi party NMR, who ran in this year’s election to the municipal council in Örkelljunga in Skåne, are suspected of being behind several cases of assault during the election weekend.

One has already been detained – the other is requested to be detained.

The two men are suspected of assaulting a man and a girl in the Scanian town over the weekend, reports HD/Sydsvenskan.

According to the prosecutor, the assault must be connected with the election and an election poster where one of the suspects is posing, the newspaper writes.

One of the Nazi candidates is now wanted in custody for another case of assault on the same day.

Both men deny the allegations.
