Moscow attack: in Russia, revenge rather than mourning

Moscow attack in Russia revenge rather than mourning

On March 22, 2024, Russia was shaken by the deadliest attack committed on its soil in two decades. The attack against the Crocus City Hall left at least 144 dead and more than 360 injured. In this episode, we speak with Anissa El Jabri, RFI’s permanent correspondent in Moscow, about the response of the Russian authorities marked in the name of the war in Ukraine, by a rhetoric of revenge and the absence of images of mourning in the state media. We also discuss the dissemination on social networks of videos showing acts of torture inflicted on the alleged attackers.
