Karlsson pulled away from the pack after three miles, and then continued to extend the lead into the finish. Thanks to the good margin of victory, she had time to celebrate properly, and take a Swedish flag at the rally.

On Instagram writes Frida Karlsson:
“The plan was to “have some ice in my stomach as we say in Sweden” and then just go for it.”
