Mondial Auto 2022: hybrid, electric and hydrogen cars available for testing

Mondial Auto 2022 hybrid electric and hydrogen cars available for

Visitors to the next Motor Show, which will be held in Paris from October 17 to 23, 2022, will for the first time have the opportunity to test around a hundred new models in real traffic conditions. The idea is to familiarize the general public with new energies by offering them the possibility of covering a few kilometers at the wheel of a electric car, hybrid, plug-in hybrid or at hydrogen.

The organizers of the Mondial de l’Auto promise an XXL test center, with no less than 100 vehicles made available to the public, the largest ever set up in the history of the show. In total, more than 100,000 kilometers should be covered over the week by all of these cars.

This test center will be located outside exhibition halls 3, 4 and 6 of the Door of Versailles. You will obviously have to reserve your test slot, during which an “expert” will accompany the tester. These tests will take place on the road, through two routes of 20 or 40 minutes, near Paris. They will be organized from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Canceled in 2020 due to pandemic, the Mondial de l’Auto is making a big comeback to the calendar this year, in a new form, called “Paris Automotive Week”. Note that the event will also include the Equip Auto trade show.

A precursor to major international motor shows, the Mondial de l’Auto, inaugurated in 1898, had already undergone a profound change in 2018 by becoming the “Mondial Paris Motor Show”, then celebrating the reunification of the Mondial de l’Auto and the Motorbike. In 2022, the event will be shorter than usual, but should highlight mobility that is more sustainable, connected and accessible to all.
