[Mis à jour le 17 décembre 2022 à 20h50] The islands of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélémy are not represented each year in the Miss France contest. This year, this is the case and the region made its choice on July 29 with the aim of shining again in the national Miss France 2023 competition. It was the young Inès Tessier, aged 19, who was chosen to take over the scarf and the crown of Miss Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélémy 2022. She hopes to go far during the beauty contest organized on December 17 in Châteauroux.

Inès Tessier is 19 years old and one thing is certain: this Miss Saint Martin Saint Barthelemy 2022 is an artist. While studying cinema in Montreal, the young woman developed a passion for art… And sport! Passionate and creative, but also committed, Ines Tessier takes the environmental cause very seriously, as does the defense of women’s rights. If she currently lives in Canada, her islands are dear to her and she wishes to encourage their economic and social development and promote their culture. One thing is certain Miss Saint Martin Saint Barthelemy 2022 will have things to say during the Miss France 2023 election broadcast live on TF1.

Inès Tessier was confronted very early on with having to leave the island of Saint-Barthélémy and the family home. It is indeed to continue her studies that she had to go to the metropolis as she explained to our colleagues from Figaro TV Mag. “I had to leave Saint-Barthélemy at the age of 14 because there is no high school there. I continued my studies in Bordeaux with the baccalaureate and a year of preparation in art then I took the direction of Montreal in Canada to attend a film school. I lived well having to leave very young the family home, I was in boarding school and that taught me to be autonomous very quickly. I I have a maturity that girls my age may not have.”
