In Diablo 4, Renown is an important feature to strengthen your heroes in Season 1 as well. It is particularly important to have discovered many things on the map in order to increase your reputation in the various areas. We therefore show you a map that reveals all the side quests that are tied to dungeons.
Why is renown and reputation important? In Diablo 4 there is a new system that you can use to strengthen each of your heroes: Renown. This system rewards you with bonuses for existing and newly created heroes. These bonuses range from Skill Points to Paragon Points, which are given to you for free when you discover Sanctuary.
Shortly before the release of Season 1, a player looked at all the side quests and marked them on a map that lead you to a dungeon. In this way, you can efficiently increase your renown, because this will only be transferred to new heroes up to a certain point.

Reddit user Tesdey has come up with a useful map for the community (via reddit.com). Renown carries over to your rest of the heroes up to a point – but not all progression. The last levels, which mainly contain points for the Paragon, have to be unlocked again.
In order to achieve this optimally, Tesdey developed this map, which shows all the side quests that ultimately lead you to a dungeon:
Aren’t side quests saved on all heroes? No, every new hero, whether seasonal or in the infinite realm, has to trek through and complete the side quest hell again in order to bag the full Renown bonuses.
Already in the comments on Tesdey’s map, many users are annoyed that the side quests have to be played through again in order to get all the bonuses. Some quests are cool and exciting, but others are tough and boring. Playing this again every season is very boring. It remains to be seen whether Blizzard will listen to users’ opinions and adjust Renown’s system.
