Salvini: “Answers are arriving on the Brenner Pass”

Salvini Answers are arriving on the Brenner Pass

(Finance) – “On the Brenner Pass I am counting on the response from the Commission and the Court of Justice in Strasbourg to arrive within a few weeks so that Austrians are breaking the law. Using the excuse of the environment they are creating unfair competition with companies and truck drivers from the rest of Europe”. This was reiterated by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of the Traspotec Logitec and NME fair underway in Rho (Milan). “I never like arrogance, from Paris, from Vienna and wherever it arrives”, commented the deputy prime minister.

In the comparison with Austria, Salvini added, “I hope to bring home the victory and reopen Brenner like all the other crossings”. During the inauguration of the FIAP Logistic Village, Salvini recalled that “on 14 May the European Commission will give us a response to the appeal that the Italian government has made for the first time in history and then we will go directly to Strasbourg”.

That of Austria, he then reiterated, “it is not environmental protection, it is unfair competition towards entrepreneurs and Italian hauliers”
