Manchester police, without mentioning Greenwood’s name, stated that they were aware of the content published on social media, and announced that a person in his 20s had been detained. The statement by the police stated, “A man in his 20s was detained on suspicion of rape and violence.”

He shared about his girlfriend Greenwood on his social media account on Sunday morning, but deleted the photos, videos and audio recordings he shared shortly after.
Manchester United club announced that Greenwood has been excluded from the squad indefinitely due to allegations against him.
Stating that they “do not condone any form of violence”, the club said they were aware of the allegations on social media, but would not comment further “until the facts are revealed”.
QUIET AGAINST CLAIMS
Mason Greenwood, on the other hand, left the allegations against him unanswered.
The 20-year-old football player has been playing for Manchester United since March 2019. Signing a new 4-year contract in February 2021, the English football player grew up from the team’s infrastructure, and once wore the England national team jersey.
