The man was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

According to one witness, the incident ended when a man with a gun came out of a Hannibal Street home.

Ben Stuckless previously said he woke to his wife saying police were blocking off streets.

“There was a big armored vehicle,” he said.

About 20 minutes later, two police pickups pulled up and officers in tactical gear got out.

“They went in the (armoured vehicle) and moved it down in front of the guy’s house and turned it toward him,” said Stuckless, who said he saw the man peek out a window of the home.

About 10 minutes after that, “I saw him come out and he was holding a gun,” which “looked like a tactical long rifle,” without a magazine, Stuckless said.

It appeared the man was holding the gun to surrender it, Stuckless said.

The man put the gun on the ground then lay down on the ground, Stuckless said. Officers arrested him and put him in the back of police cruiser.
