On Friday night, Chatham-Kent police received a complaint from a concerned parent who allegedly discovered disturbing messages on her child’s phone.
A 40-year-old man is alleged to have messaged the complainant’s 12-year-old daughter, attempting to solicit intimate images, police said.

Police identified the man and charged him with luring a person under 14 years of age. He was later released with conditions and a short date.
