What is time dilation in Exodus? Time Dilation refers to the concept that time passes more slowly the closer you get to the speed of light.
In concrete terms, this means that only days or weeks pass for you on your space tour, but entire years or decades pass for people outside your spaceship.
This makes time dilation a powerful enemy for the players. The decisions they make in Exodus can have far-reaching consequences that affect the other characters in the game and, above all, cannot be remedied:
Time dilation is the only enemy travelers cannot escape. The decisions we make at near the speed of light have consequences that affect the people we love for generations and that cannot be changed.

When asked if there is anything travelers can do to prevent the effects of time dilation, the answer is clearly: no!
“Time dilation is an inescapable fact in our universe. To explore the galaxy, travelers must travel as close to the speed of light as possible. But that means the people they leave behind are aging much, much faster than the travelers themselves.”
Even with items, special skills or technologies, the phenomenon cannot be avoided or mitigated.
When does Exodus come out? No exact release date for the new sci-fi game has been announced yet. But it is already clear for which platforms Exodus will be released. The release is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
