Linn Svahn and Frida Karlsson’s big money rain – that’s what the Swedish skiing stars have to do for the millions: “I’m not like that”

Linn Svahn and Frida Karlsson have had great success in the tracks.
Now there has therefore been a change of throne in Swedish winter sports.
– It’s a nice receipt, says Frida to Expressen.

Our Swedish biathletes have long dominated the top list for prize money earned. The last five winter seasons have the national team star Hanna Öberg topped the money list for Swedish winter athletes a full four times, which is clear proof of the dominance.

But this year there has been a very interesting change of thrones and Öberg only comes in eighth place after a weaker season. Not a single biathlete gets on the podium, but instead it is cross-country skiing that takes over the throne.

Both Lynn Svahn and Frida Karlsson have brought in well over two million kroner each after great success during the winter. In second place, the alpine skier also succeeds Sarah Hector walk in with over two million in prize money earned, see the full list below.

The million rain

Karlsson is very satisfied with his efforts at the World Cup and can now cheer all the way to the bank.
– There has actually been a lot this season. It has been my best winter overall and it shows there too, says Frida to Expressen.
– I have taken several victories in the past (seasons) but never been this consistent. It’s a nice receipt.

Last season, the 24-year-old from Sollefteå celebrated by treating himself and his family to a luxury vacation to Curaçao. Now Frida reveals what she will do with the prize money this year.
– There will be some travel, but probably not as big as last year, says Karlsson in the interview.

Linn Svahn, who tops the entire money list with 2.6 million in prize money, is considerably more tight-lipped about what she will do for the record sum.
– Some may be driven by money. But that’s not who I am, says Svahn to the evening newspaper.
