Hundreds aboard sinking ships
Around 400 people are on board a sinking ship in the Mediterranean, AP reports.
The people are suspected of being migrants who tried to escape to Europe.
“The boat seems to be leaking and taking in water, it has run out of fuel and drinking water on board. There are many pregnant women and 10 babies on board,” states the German volunteer organization Sea Watch.
The ship is said to have left Tobruk in Libya earlier this weekend.

Dalai Lama in windy weather – asked boy to suck on his tongue
Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama, 87, now apologizes after asking boy to ‘suck his tongue’, reports Reuters.
The incident must have been caught on film.
“His Holiness wishes to apologize to the boy and the boy’s family, as well as his many friends around the world, for the hurt his words may have caused,” a statement on the leader’s Twitter said.
Furthermore, they write that the Dalai Lama “often gets teased with people he meets in an innocent and playful way”.
“He regrets the incident,” it says further.
One killed in Israeli raid
One person has been killed in an Israeli raid in the West Bank, reports AFP.
The raid is said to have taken place in Aqbat Jabr, southwest of Jericho in the Jordan Valley.
From the Palestinian side comes information that a total of three people have been shot in connection with some form of confrontation, TT writes.

Two arrested after serious assault
During the night, a 25-year-old man came into the hospital in Skaraborg.
The man had extensive and serious injuries and the hospital staff therefore contacted the police.
The police suspect that the man has been beaten and during the morning two men have been arrested.
The incident is being investigated as an extremely serious assault.
North Korea has stopped responding to South Korea
North Korea has stopped answering South Korea’s phone calls, reports say The Korea Times.
Previously, talks were held between the countries’ militaries twice a day. But for the third day in a row, no one has responded on the North Korean side.
Experts suspect that it is a form of protest against South Korea’s recent military exercises in the North, as well as criticism of North Korea’s curtailment of its citizens’ human rights.
Fully developed fire in holiday home
There is a fire in a holiday home in Kungshamn.
The emergency services are on site with several units from three fire stations.
The house must be on fire and extinguishing work is underway.
No injuries have been reported.
Man wanted in custody after fatal shooting
A man in his 30s is now wanted in custody on suspicion of the shooting death in Skärholmen in southern Stockholm, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announces.
He is suspected of murder, attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences.
According to Aftonbladet’s information, a 29-year-old gang criminal man died in the shooting and a 55-year-old man was injured.
A man in his 20s, who was previously arrested, is released on bail.
Fire in terraced house
There is a fire in a terraced house in Ystad.
At the moment, it is unclear how many homes are affected.
– We have a considerable force in place. Everything indicates that we have spread to several homes, says Patrik Nilsson, officer on duty at the rescue service South.
– We will be there for a few more hours, he continues.
No injuries have been reported.
The police are on site and are helping the residents to evacuate.
Five dead after avalanche
About ten people were swept away in the masses of snow when an avalanche erupted in the French Alps on Sunday.

Five arrested after shooting
Five men have been arrested after a shooting in Oxhagen in Örebro on Sunday, reports P4 Örebro.
All are in their 20s and are reasonably suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons offences.
The police were called to Oxhagen after witnesses saw one or more perpetrators firing shots at a group of people.
No one was found injured at the scene.
One person injured in apartment
A person has been found injured in an apartment in central Södertälje.
The person has had to be taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The extent of the damage is unclear.
– There is not much more I can say at the moment, says Tove Hägg, press spokesperson at the police.
The police are investigating the incident as a suspected attempted murder.
