Kinberg Batra becomes a case for corruption prosecutors

The evening paper has revealed how two of Anna Kinberg Batra’s friends got top jobs at the county administrative board in Stockholm County.

One of the positions was never advertised and the ad for the other position was just a note in reception.

Several have reported

After the disclosure, a private person has reported the procedure. That report is now with the national unit against corruption.

– I will look at the information that has come in and see what is causing it. It is conceivable that it will entail certain investigative measures, but nothing that I can go out with right now, says prosecutor Thomas Forsberg to TT.

Several private individuals have reported the incident to the Ombudsman for Justice (JO).

– We look at all reports that come in and investigate whether something wrong has been committed, says Johanna Cervin Ellqvist, legal expert at JO, to The evening paper.

“Didn’t turn out well”

Anna Kinberg Batra has previously said that she is remorseful and that she believes that the authority has been damaged by the handling.

– It is clear that in retrospect I think this did not turn out well. It raises questions about how we work, how I work, she told TV4 Nyheterna on Tuesday.

Dagens Nyheter has also reported how the authority’s second highest manager, county director Åsa Ryding, is being bought out. She receives 2.2 million in compensation.
