A US judge temporarily pauses Microsoft’s plans to buy gaming giant Activision Blizzard.

Judge Edward Davila justifies the decision by saying that the deal cannot be carried out while the court considers a request from the trade authority FTC to stop the purchase.

The purchase, the largest to date in the gaming industry, would give Microsoft control over titles such as “Diablo,” “Call of Duty” and “Candy Crush.”
