Jubilee concert runaway health of Elton John after a photo

JUBILEE CONCERT. On the occasion of the platinum jubilee, celebrating the 70 years of reign of Queen Elizabeth II, Elton John must participate in the concert event. But photos of the 75-year-old singer showed him unable to move on his own.

[Mis à jour le 04 juin 2022 à 19h13] Since Thursday, June 2, the UK and Commonwealth countries celebrate 70 years of reign of Elizabeth II. While a big concert to celebrate this longevity is to be held this Saturday evening, the British tabloids are worried about Elton John. In the middle of a world tour, he was photographed on May 29 in a wheelchair. The artist must however participate in the jubilee show with other performers. The 75-year-old singer wanted to reassure his fans on social networks. “I want to thank my fans for reaching out to me regarding this stupid story the tabloids wrote about my fragile health,” he said. “I am in excellent health. I love my shows and I give my all in singing and performing. Every night I am 100% and I never want to disappoint,” he added. Elton John justified the use of a wheelchair by a concert of almost 3 hours the same day which tired him. “My team offered to put me in a wheelchair so that I could rest my hip. That’s all,” he said. In September 2021, the British star had to interrupt his tour due to intensive rehabilitation and specialized treatment to treat his hip.

If Elton John should perform several of his most popular songs, other artists have been invited to perform during the concert event: Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Craig David, Diana Ross, Hans Zimmer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Nile Rodgers, Queen + Adam Lambert, Sam Ryder, Rod Stewartbut also Stefflon Don, Celeste, Diversity, Duran Duran, Elbow, George Ezra, Jax Jones, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mabel, Mica Paris, Mimi Webb, Sigala & Ella Eyre.
