Amazon MGM has now snapped up the Masters of the Universe film and is planning one, according to The Hollywood Reporter Cinema release next year. Bumblebee director Travis Knight is still the master of the film universe and is still working with the script by Chris Butler (Kubo), who in turn used elements from earlier versions.

This time the story revolves around a ten-year-old Prince Adam, whose spaceship crash-lands on Earth. Included he loses his magic sword, which represents his connection to the homeland of Eternia. Two decades later, Adam is an adult and travels back to his home planet to face the evil forces of Skeletor. But first he must discover the secrets of his past and transform himself into the powerful He-Man.

Yes. According to Amazon MGM’s current plan, the new He-Man film with the Masters of the Universe is scheduled to take place on June 5, 2026 coming to US cinemas. After that it will probably come to Amazon Prime Video.
