With 20 seasons, of which 14 as team captain, in Frölunda, a total of four SM gold and three WC gold chose Joel Lundqvist finally throwing in the towel and ending his career.

Joel Lundqvist collects a million salary
It turns out that before Joel Lundqvist, who is highly current with the title of Champion of Champions in 2024, put his skates on the shelf, he pulled in a lot of money. News24 have taken note of information from the Swedish Tax Agency which shows that Lundqvist had a determined earned income of SEK 2,206,600 in 2022.
Spread over the twelve months of the year, it gave him close to SEK 184,000 in monthly salary.
Joel Lundqvist is active in several companies
In the company Frölunda & Partners Hockey Schools AB, which will conduct educational activities in hockey, Joel Lundqvist sits as a board member. When it made its last financial statement, in April 2023, it reported a turnover of SEK 1.9 million and a profit of SEK 104,000.
The assets in the company were estimated to amount to SEK 1.8 million.

In your own company Lundqvist Promotion AB, where the former ice hockey player sits as CEO, engages in assignments in marketing and advertising, as well as securities trading. There, at a financial close in December 2022, they had a turnover of SEK 385,000 and a profit of SEK 353,000.
Assets of SEK 489,000 were then reported.
