Jacqline and Cazzi Opeia advance to the final in Melodifestivalen

In the third competition in Växjö, Jacqline took the first final place with the song “Effortless”.

– It feels unreal, God, how grateful I am, she said.

She dedicated the victory to everyone who voted for her and also to her family.

Cazzi Opeia performed with the contribution “Give my heart a break”, but she also co-wrote the song that Jacqline went on with.

– How cool? I can’t bear it, said Cazzi Opeia.

Performing again when she had moved on was “euphoric”, she said.

– And so much love from the audience and just amazing.

Gunilla Persson and Klaudy to final qualification

Klaudy and Gunilla Persson went to the finals.

– I was completely overwhelmed. I felt such happiness in my chest, then I burst into tears, said Gunilla Persson.

Klaudy said the final qualifying spot was a surprise.

– We didn’t believe this at all.

In fifth place came Clara Klingenström and last came Kim Cesarion.

He was elected to the “Hall of Fame”

During the program, another person was presented who will be elected to the “Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame 2024” – this time Edward af Sillén.

– I am very grateful, he said.

Edward af Sillén has written the script and directed some of Melodifestivalen’s most appreciated features – such as Sarah Dawn Finer’s character Linda Woodruff and wrote Petra Mede’s script in 2009.
