A Chilean midfielder who made a name for himself in the top leagues of European football Arturo Vidal returned to his breeding club in Colo Colo last Thursday in style.
Vidal, 36, was flown to the team’s sold-out home stadium in Santiago by helicopter, after which he got to greet supporters on horseback. In addition to the cape, Vidal had a crown and a sword as accessories.
The player presentation was followed by 30,000 Colo Colo supporters.
– Greetings, my people. I’m really happy that this event honoring me sold out. I was really nervous. I haven’t been able to sleep since I’ve been waiting for this day, I started in the club at the age of 15 Vidal said.

Vidal won three Chilean championships at his parent club before moving to European fields 17 years ago.
In Europe, he represented, among others, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter and Barcelona. Vidal achieved five Italian championships, three Bundesliga victories and one La Liga first place.
After playing in Europe, Vidal represented Flamengo and Athletico Paranaense in Brazil before returning to his beloved home club.
In the Chilean national team, Vidal has won two Copa America, i.e., South American championships, in 2015 and 2016. Vidal has played a whopping 142 international matches in the Chilean national team and appeared twice in the World Cup.
